Harvest Family Fellowship began in October of 2005 as a handful of believers whose passion was to learn God’s Word verse by verse, worship God with a passionate devotion, and build a family of believers used of God to, in the words of Ezekiel 34:16, “Seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick.”

Within a year we had moved from a living room in south Reno to Huffaker Elementary School near Bartley Ranch also in South Reno. As God continues to add to our family, we are constantly amazed at the many ministries He is bringing to life. One ministry that we especially feel God’s heart is to ceaselessly pray for, intercede for, and reach out to the young people of our city. With the sobering knowledge that more than 80% of all believers gave their life to Christ before their 20th birthday, we focus much of our efforts on our Harvest Kids. We constantly pray for and work hard to provide a secure, enthusiastic and creative environment for our babies all the way through to our high school students.

At Harvest, whole families are invited to worship and learn the bible verse by verse together. We give the option of children over age 9 to sit with their parents and family during the worship and teaching service. There are few more powerful images than parents raising their hands in prayer and praise as their sons or daughters watch! The Proverbs have it so right! “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he shall not depart from it!”

As a worship leader for over 27 years, my passion has been to model and encourage biblical worship to an awesome, gracious and holy God. Now as the Senior Pastor, I am most blessed to see that our family at Harvest grows in the knowledge of God’s word… and God’s worship! Lord willing, we plan to host open air worship concerts for the specific purpose to humbly call on the name, mercy, grace and power of God to pour out His heart on this city. After all, in 2 Chronicles 20:21 it was the worshippers who went out before the battle!! Keep checking back to see dates and times!

We at Harvest believe that the time for Jesus’ return is very, very soon. There’s no more time, nor point to be wasting our God given talents, abilities or callings on ourselves. It’s time to step out in whatever God has called us to do! If you ask, God will show you exactly what He’s called you to do and be! This crucial revelation usually happens as you study His word, and worship Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Harvest Family Fellowship is just such a place where this miraculous encounter is possible… even expected!
